At Midgard Base Camp you’ll find accommodation, restaurant, bar, along with a tour and travel agency.

We offer both hotel and hostel style accommodation. We offer double rooms with private bathrooms and family rooms with either private or shared bathroom facilities. Our dorms have either 4 or 6 bunk beds. Our bunk beds are one of a kind! They are home-made, bolted through the wall with quality mattresses and good privacy!

Excellent facilities

We have nice and comfortable showers where you can wash away the dust from your adventures. The showers are private (meaning there is a door you can lock) so you can even sing that favourite song of yours.

All the facilities are very clean and you can find big mirrors in the restrooms.

Excellent location

If you are looking for accommodation with a great location, you have found it. We are located in a small town called Hvolsvöllur. Another town called Hella is only 10 minutes away. Our location is ideal when travelling in south Iceland.

We are located at the outskirts of Hvolsvöllur with amazing views towards Seljalandsfoss waterfall and Eyjafjallajökull volcano. On a good day you can see both from Base Camp! We are easy to find (only 800 m from the ring road) and we have plenty of free parking).
